What is SBIR.org, and how does it differ from SBIR.gov?
SBIR.org is an independent, unofficial resource created by experienced SBIR advisors to simplify and organize information about the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to SBIR.gov or any government agency. SBIR.org aims to make applying for SBIR funding more accessible and efficient by providing curated resources, practical guidance, and answers to frequently asked questions.
Is SBIR.org a free resource?
Yes. SBIR.org is a free resource created to help educate everyone on the SBIR/STTR process and opportunities. While the creators operate for-profit consulting firms specializing in government grant assistance, this website exists as a non-commercial platform to support the innovation community.
Where can I download sample SBIR/STTR applications for free?
Please visit our free SBIR/STTR resource page to sign up for the specific agency you are targeting and you will receive an e-mail with curated, free resources tailored to that agency.
I need personalized help and/or have a question that isn’t covered in your knowledge base, what do I do?
Please reach out directly to us through either the feedback form at the bottom right of the page (question mark icon), or send us an email at [email protected], and someone from our team will respond.
Do you provide grant consulting and TABA services?
SBIR.org is maintained by a network of qualified SBIR/STTR specialists who independently offer grant consulting, grant writing, and TABA services. We’re more than happy to discuss your needs and recommend specific advisors that can maximize the value of your funding, often in ways that are covered by additional grants.
